Welcome to the homepage for the Pocklington Branch of Haltemprice Judo Club. In addition to the sessions run at Pocklington, the Club also runs sessions at Haltemprice, Hornsea, Beverley and Woodford. Pocklington branch's club coach is Jeff Brady.

The club is run on Friday evenings 5.00 to 7.00 pm. Timings are ; 5.00 - 6.00 for 5 to 9 year olds ( Kano grades ). 6.00 - 7.00 for 10 to 16 year olds ( Mon Grades ).

New starters should wear loose fitting clothing such as a long sleeved top ( eg rugby shirt ) and tracksuit bottoms. Parents should ensure that toenails and fingernails are cut short so as to prevent injury to other Judo players. Please note that minimum starting age is 5 years but children must be in year 1.

The club is affiliated to the British Judo Association...

Judogi ( Judo uniforms ) can be purchased through the club coach.

Please note it is the responsibility of the Judo player or parent to maintain a current BJA licence for insurance purposes. Players cannot grade or compete without a current licence.
