Full details of the Kano grading system can be found on the BJA Website click here to jump to that page. Note that successful Kano grading allows students to wear a Kano badge which is sent by the BJA as part of the grading fee, but additionally students may wear coloured tags on their white belts, but these tags are NOT provided as part of the grading fee. Kano students can, at the Club Coach's discretion, be automatically awarded a Mon rank ( dependant upon the Kano level attained ) when they transfer to the Junior class. ( ages 8 to 16 ) see the BJA website for further details.
Full details of Mon gradings can also be found on the BJA website. Click here to jump to that page. Please note that Mon grades 1 to 6 are non-competitive and can be examined and awarded by the club coach. Mon grades 7 and above have a competitive and technical element - see BJA website for further details.
Details of the Club's next Kano and Mon gradings can be found on the Events page.
